Ex-school head in Yokohama arrested

YOKOHAMA (Jiji Press) — A former head of a municipal junior high school in Yokohama was arrested on Wednesday for taking photos of his sexual acts with a teenage girl in Manila in or around early January 2014.

About 400 albums containing nearly 150,000 such photos showing more than 12,000 women have been found in the home of Yuhei Takashima, 64, police sources said.

Takashima admitted charges of violating the law banning child prostitution and pornography, saying that he wanted to keep records of women he met, the sources said.

He has told police that about 10 percent of the women were younger than 18.

He began to buy sex from local women when he stayed in the Philippines for business for three years from 1988. Since then, he has traveled to the Southeast Asian country 65 times.
