Japanese version

The president of an adult video production firm who was arrested on Jan. 17 for allegedly forcing a woman to perform in a film has been released, a source close to the investigation said on Jan. 23.

Hitoshi Nakano, 51, was collared with two other men by the Metropolitan Police Department under suspicion of “inducement to promiscuous intercourse.”

However, according to the source, the Tokyo District Court later rejected a request by the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office to detain Nakano — prompting his release on Jan. 20. It is understood that the prosecutors office will continue its investigation without detaining the company head.

Specifically, Nakano and two former employees of his production firm are suspected of forcing a woman to perform indecent acts in a video, which led to their arrests. The case was then referred to prosecutors two days later on Jan. 19.
